You've felt prepared before. Then the game proved you wrong.
You don't need to feel ready. You need to know what you'll do when it goes wrong.
Free 3-day course: Pressure Tested
The problem
You don't get exposed by what you practiced. You get exposed by what you never pressure tested.
Most athletes build their readiness in conditions that never apply the pressure of the biggest moment they'll face. Practice. Warmups. Scrimmages. It feels like preparation. It's a false sense of security.
You're not truly prepared until you've accounted for what shows up in the hardest moment of your career.
01 · The mechanism
Feeling ready and being ready aren't the same thing. One of them you can build.
Most athletes judge how ready they are by how they feel walking in. Slept well, warmed up well, feel good: ready. Feel off: not ready. But how you feel was never the measure.
A good poker player doesn't wait to see his cards to figure out what he'll do. He already knows what he does with almost every hand before it's dealt. How he feels about the hand doesn't change the call.
That's what ready actually is: how many situations you've already played out, and knowing your decision in each one, no matter how you feel. You can build that. Here's how, in three days.
Day 1
Walk into game day settled
Why your pregame is quietly deciding how you compete, and how to take it back before it starts.
Day 2
Know your move before the mistake
The first thing that goes wrong stops knocking you off, because you already know what you do next.
Day 3
Be ready for your hardest moment
Walk into the biggest moment of your season having already been there, so it isn't the first time it's tested.
02 · Why trust me
I'm Austin Merrill. I've watched pressure expose great athletes.
I'm a mental performance coach. I've worked with professional baseball, college programs, and athletes from high school to the big leagues and overseas.
Across all of them, the pattern is the same. The athletes who hold up in the biggest moment aren't the ones who felt the most ready. They're the ones who had already accounted for it.

Thank you for helping Aidan build resilience
This is the craziest season so far. He couldn't be where he is without the work you two are doing. If you haven't talked to him yet I am sure you will hear. He's handling it very well.
Was the first guy out of the pen this season! 1IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB
Slider was nasty
LETS GOOOOOO

Thank you sm Coach. You've helped me a ton
It fucking worked. Kept my head still the whole time looking at the glove and didn't make my 2 strike pitches too good 4 hitters- 3Ks, 1 groundout to me. Immaculate inning though 7 pitches
Good morning! Thank you for your work with Trey this week. He was struggling but I think he's gonna get over the hump.
GM Austin, hope all is well. Cal really enjoyed the convo yesterday, said you gave him some good ideas he's excited to try. Just wanted to share the feedback. I'll be sure to keep you updated.
You're the best ❤️ and a big reason he is where he is right now.
Could never thank you enough!
03 · Why you can do this
You don't have to believe in yourself. You have to trust the system.
If you've ever played great and couldn't explain why, you already have the ability. What you don't have is a way to do it again on purpose.
That's what a system is for. It takes you out of the equation. You stop asking whether you're good enough today, and you just run what you already decided.
Your biggest moment is coming. Be ready before it gets here.
Sign up and Day 1 lands in your inbox. Three days, and you walk into your next game with a plan for the moments that used to beat you.
